Announced last month, HTC Malaysia has just officially launched the HTC U11, the company’s latest flagship. The U11 sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD Super LCD 5 display protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The device features the same “liquid glass surface” design language, and it is now IP67 water and dust resistance too.
Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage. One of the highlight features of the U11 is Edge Sense, which involves squeezing the frame to launch specific apps.
The U11 now packs a 12MP f/1.7 UltraPixel 3 camera (1.4μm pixel) with UltraSpeed autofocus and OIS. Selfie wise, there’s a 16MP shooter which now combines with UltraPixel light sensitivity for better low-light selfies. Both rear and front cameras come with HDR Boost feature, shooting HDR images without any lags.
The rest of the specs include a BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition speakers, fingerprint sensor embedded on the home button, a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0, and Android 7.1 Nougat.
Officially retails at RM3,099, the HTC U11 will be available in Malaysia by end of June 2017. Maxis is the only telco partner for the device. The device will be available for pre-order soon on Lazada and 11street. Those who pre-order the phone will receive an exclusive U11timate box set which comes with exclusive HTC merchandise while stocks last.
At the moment, the U11 is available in 3 color options only — Amazing Silver, Sapphire Blue, and Brilliant Black. Let’s not forget the fact that the device will also come with an HTC USB-C to 3.5mm adapter with a built-in DAC.
