HTC Malaysia today has officially launched the company’s latest flagship — HTC 10. Announced back in April, HTC didn’t name the latest flagship as One M10, but 10 instead. The device packs an all-metal unibody design with chamfered edges on the back.
The 10 features a 5.2-inch Quad HD Super LCD 5 display covered by a curved Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, which is expandable via MicroSD card.
Camera wise, the HTC 10 has a 12MP UltraPixel f/1.8 rear camera with OIS, dual LED flash and laser auto-focus. You’ll get to record 4K video with the stereo 24-bit Hi-Res audio recording, which captures 256 times more detail than standard recordings across twice the frequency range. The BoomSound Hi-Fi edition speakers feature the same separated tweeter and woofer design you see in leading acoustic systems. The 10 is certified for Hi-Res Audio and the device also comes with Hi-Res Audio certified inbox earphones.
The HTC 10 is the world’s first smartphone to have OIS on its front-facing camera. The 5MP front camera comes with f/1.8 aperture and wide angle lens. It also has a fingerprint scanner like the One A9, which unlocks your phone in 0.2 second. HTC claims that the 10’s 3,000mAh battery is able to charge up to 50% in just 30 minutes, thanks to Quick Charge 3.0.
The HTC 10 will be available in Carbon Grey and Topaz Gold colors at the price of RM2,799. You can purchase it from official retailers and 11street. As for the Ice View case, it will be retailing at RM159 in one color option available — Obsidian Black.
