HONOR is set to launch its most advanced foldable smartphone, the HONOR Magic V5, in Malaysia on July 15, 2025. This ultra-slim device measures just 8.8mm when folded, making it the world’s thinnest foldable while still packing flagship-level features. The HONOR Magic V5 combines cutting-edge technology with practical durability solutions that address common foldable phone concerns.

Despite its remarkably slim profile, the phone houses a substantial 5,820mAh Silicon-Carbon battery that supports 66W fast charging for a full charge in just 40 minutes, along with 50W wireless charging. The innovative battery system is enhanced by HONOR’s E2 Power Chip for improved energy efficiency, ensuring all-day performance even for heavy users.

Photography capabilities take a significant leap forward with a 64MP periscope telephoto camera offering up to 100x digital zoom, supported by AI-powered features like Super Zoom and Enhanced Portrait mode. The device also includes advanced AI editing tools for on-device photo enhancements, including object removal and image expansion.

Durability has been a key focus in the HONOR Magic V5’s development. The foldable screen incorporates Non-Newtonian Fluid technology for shock absorption, while an AI system detects minute particles as small as 0.8mm that could potentially damage the hinge mechanism. The aerospace-grade carbon fiber back panel offers exceptional impact resistance, and the Super Steel Hinge has been tested to withstand weights up to 35kg while being rated for 500,000 folds, equivalent to over 13 years of daily use.
Additional premium features include IP58/IP59 water and dust resistance, high-refresh-rate displays with scratch-resistant coatings, and likely flagship-level processing power. The full specifications, pricing details, and launch promotions will be revealed during HONOR Malaysia’s livestream event at 2PM on July 15, 2025.
