HONOR today has officially announced its first-ever 5G foldable flagship device — HONOR Magic V. The HONOR Magic V comes with a 7.9-inch (2,272 x 1,984 px) 90Hz OLED display that can be closed completely flat. As for the cover screen, it sports a 6.45-inch (2,560 x 1,080 px) 120Hz OLED display with a 21:9 aspect ratio.
Powering the HONOR Magic V is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, making it the first foldable device to use this chipset.
In terms of camera, the device packs a triple-camera setup — 50 MP Wide Angle Camera (f/1.9) + 50 MP Ultra Spectrum Camera (f/2.0) + 50 MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera (f/2.2). There are two 42MP hole-punch selfie cameras, one on the cover screen and another one on the main screen.
The device has a 4,750mAh battery with 66W HONOR SuperCharge. It runs on Magic UI 6.0 based on Android 12, which should be coming with GMS out of the box if it makes its global debut.
The HONOR Magic V is available in three stunning colors — Black, Space Silver, and Burnt Orange. The device will be available in China starting on January 18 and priced at ¥9,999 for the 12+256GB version, and ¥10,999 for the 12+512GB version.
