Honor Malaysia today officially launched the Honor 6X, which made its global debut last month at CES 2017.
The device sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display covered by a 2.5D curved glass. Powering the device is a Kirin 655 octa-core processor (4 x 2.1GHz + 4 x 1.7GHz Cortex-A53) with two configurations — 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage.
The selling point of the Honor 6X is its dual-camera setup (12MP + 2MP), even though the price point is lower than most smartphones with dual cameras. Selfie wise, there’s an 8MP front-facing shooter.
The device is currently running on EMUI 4.1 on top of Android Marshmallow, but the EMUI 5.0 update with Android Nougat will be available in Q2 2017.
The Honor 6X will be available in three colors — Gray, Silver and Gold, at the price of RM1,199 for 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model and RM1,399 for 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model. Meanwhile, the device will be available for pre-order from February 14th to February 16th via Lazada. The first 50 customers who successfully placed the order of the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model will receive an Honor turbine earphone, Honor casing, and Petrol voucher of RM100.
The 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model will go on sale starting from 17th February 2017, while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model will go on sale from 6th March 2017 onwards. Stay tuned as we are currently working on the full review.
