Two years ago when the Honor 3C just arrived Malaysia, the response was overwhelming. A year later, there’s the Honor 4C. Today, Honor Malaysia unveiled the Honor 5C, which could be the best smartphone below RM 1,000.
The Honor 5C features an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy body, which also comes with scratch-resistant anodized coating for lasting protection against corrosion and wear and tear.
The device sports a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display at 423 ppi pixel density. Under the hood is a Kirin 650 octa-core processor with FinFET Plus 16 nm chip technology, which offers faster performance compared with the 28 nm chip.
Like the Honor 5X, the Honor 5C also features a fingerprint scanner on its back. Its fingerprint scanner offers 0.5-second unlocking speed, and you can use touch and swipe gesture to take a photo, answer a call, pull down the notification bar, browse photos and more.
The Honor 5C packs a 13 MP rear camera with F2.0 aperture and 78º wide-angle 5-element macro lens. Selfie wise, you’ll get an 8 MP F2.0 front camera with 77º wide-angle lens.
Juicing up the device is a 3,000 mAh battery, which claims to provide 1.34 days of heavy usage thanks to Android 6.0’s Doze Mode with Huawei’s SmartPower 3.0 power-saving technology. That’s been said, the Honor 5C is running on EMUI 4.1 based on Android Marshmallow.
The Honor 5C will be available for pre-order on June 20th at the price of RM 799 for Grey and Silver variants, whereas the Gold variant will be priced at RM 849. Log on to VMall Malaysia or Lazada Malaysia to pre-order it.
