Nokia is back! HMD Global, which holds the rights to the name, has officially announced the Nokia 6. The Android 7.0 Nougat-powered Nokia 6 is a mid-range device for the Chinese market, so we’ll have to wait a little longer for the global device.
Sporting a 5.5-inch Full HD display covered by a 2.5D Gorilla Glass, the Nokia 6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage.
The Nokia 6 is made of a solid block of 6000 series aluminum, which took 55 minutes to produce a unit. It then receives two separate anodizing processes, taking over ten hours to complete, with each phone being polished no less than five times.
The device features dual amplifiers with Dolby Atmos tech, which delivers a 6dB louder sound than a regular amp, giving higher voice, deeper bass and unmatched clarity. In terms of camera, the device has a 16MP rear camera with PDAF tech and an 8MP front camera for selfie duty.
The Nokia 6 will debut exclusively through JD.com in early 2017 in China pricing at 1,699 CNY.
