DENZA, a premium sub-brand of BYD has officially entered the Malaysian automotive market with the launch of its flagship electric MPV, the DENZA D9. The vehicle is available in two versions: the Advanced and the Premium. As anticipated, the more expensive Premium variant offers all-wheel drive, while the Advanced model is equipped with front-wheel drive.
Both versions of the Denza D9 are powered by a 103.6kWh battery, supporting 3-phase 11kW AC charging and up to 166kW DC fast charging. Exterior color options include Arctic White, Whale Sea Blue, and Cosmos Black. Inside, both trims boast a range of premium features, such as a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 50W wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, and a refrigerator with its own touchscreen interface, emphasizing the vehicle’s luxury appeal.
In terms of performance, the front-wheel-drive Advanced model delivers 230kW of power and 360Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in 9.5 seconds and offering an NEDC range of 600km. The all-wheel-drive Premium variant, on the other hand, produces 270kW of power and 479Nm of torque, achieving a 0 to 100km/h sprint in 6.9 seconds and providing an NEDC range of 580km.
As premium electric MPVs, both trims come equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including standard traction and stability control. However, the Premium model goes a step further with additional safety technologies such as driver fatigue monitoring, driver distraction detection, Forward Traffic Crossing (FTC) Alert, and FTC Braking, which are not available on the Advanced trim.
The DENZA D9 will be available in three exterior color options including Arctic White, Cosmos Black, and Whale Sea Blue. For the interior, the DENZA D9 offers color choices of Beige and Brown, enhancing its visual appeal.

DENZA D9 will come with up to 8 years or 160,000km mileage warranty for the battery (SOH within >70% or above) and up to 8 years or 150,000km on its drive motor and motor controller. DENZA D9 will also come with a vehicle warranty of up to 6 years or 150,000km.
