We haven’t heard about BlackBerry for quite some time, but not for long, the company today announced that the DTEK60 is now available in Malaysia.
Like the PRIV, the BlackBerry DTEK60 is an Android smartphone. If you think that the DTEK60 looks familiar, it’s because the hardware is manufactured by TCL and comes equipped with the trusted security software BlackBerry is known for.
The device sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, covered by a scratch-resistant glass and features a specialized oleophobic coating to protect against smudges and fingerprints. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage.
Camera wise, the BlackBerry DTEK60 has a 21MP rear camera with PDAF and a dual-tone LED flash. There’s an 8MP front-facing camera for selfie duty as well.
Juicing up the device is a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 supported. Not to forget that there’s a fingerprint sensor on its back, which allows you to add up to five fingerprints.
The BlackBerry DTEK60 is now available in Malaysia exclusively through leading retail store partners of BrightStar Malaysia at the price of RM2,388.
