ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M2) Officially Announced, Priced from RM859

The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M2) is now finally official! After the success of the ZenFone Max Pro (M1), ASUS has finally unveiled the successor of it, potentially to be the next best sub-RM1k device.

The phone now has a completely different design compared to its predecessor. Gone is the metal backing, which now comes with a 3D-curved rear design. ASUS calls it the Dynamic Optical Finish, which has the wave effect.

The phone sports a larger 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS display with 19:9 ratio. Yup, there’s a notch on top, just like most smartphones in 2018.

In terms of performance, the phone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE processor with up to 6GB RAM and 64GB storage.

The phone now has a better dual-camera system — 12MP Sony IMX486 f/1.8 primary sensor + 5MP secondary depth sensor. Selfie wise, there’s a 13MP f/2.0 front-facing camera with Softlight LED flash.

As part of the ZenFone Max series, it’s normal for the phone to have a huge 5,000mAh battery. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Android 9.0 Pie update coming in early 2019.

The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M2) is now available for pre-order until 17th December. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage retails at RM859, exclusively available on Lazada; the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage retails at RM999, exclusively available on Shopee.
