The ASUS ZenFone 3 and Honor 8 no doubt are the hot selling smartphones now in the market. These two smartphones are priced below RM2k, and both companies claim their cameras are pretty good. We decide to have a blind camera shootout, and you vote for the better photos without knowing which are taken with which phones.
ASUS ZenFone 3 vs Honor 8
- 16MP vs 12MP Dual-Camera (RGB + Monochrome)
- f/2.0 vs f/2.2
- 1.12 µm vs 1.25 µm
- TriTech AF System vs Hybrid AF System
- 4-Axis OIS vs No OIS
[Update] Before you begin, here are a few things you need to know:
- All the camera samples are taken in auto mode;
- Except for the “Camera Sample 10A” and “Camera Sample 10B”, which are taken with manual focus;
- Both cameras are set to the maximum resolution that they are capable to take (ZenFone 3 in 16MP and Honor 8 in 12MP);
- ASUS ZenFone 3 has “Auto HDR” feature on by default, so we didn’t turn off;
- All camera samples taken with the Honor 8 are using its dual-camera setup, we didn’t block one of its lenses during photo shooting.
