After a long wait, the ZenFone 3 Series is now official. For this time, ASUS has unveiled three ZenFone 3 devices — ZenFone 3 Deluxe, ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Ultra.
ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe
The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is a flagship device. It features an all-metal curved unibody with invisible antenna design. The device sports a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display covered by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB expandable storage. Additionally, the device also features a fingerprint scanner and supports Quick Charge 3.0 via its USB Type-C port.
Camera wise, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe packs a 23 MP Sony camera with f/2.0 aperture and sapphire lens protection. With PixelMaster 3.0, you are able to a 92 MP photo using Super Resolution mode. TriTech auto-focus technology is basically the combination of three focusing technologies — laser, phase detection and continuous auto-focus. Not to forget that it also comes with four-axis OIS too.
The ZenFone 3 Deluxe has SonicMaster and High-Res Audio certification. With an advanced five-magnet speaker construction, metal voice coil and expansive sound chamber, you are able to enjoy studio-grade 24-bit/192kHz playback.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZenUI 3.0 on top. ZenUI 3.0 also features Game Genie, which allows you to broadcast your gameplay live via YouTube or Twitch.
ASUS ZenFone 3
The ZenFone 3 features a 2.5D Gorilla Glass on its front and rear. The device sports a 5.5-inch Full HD Super IPS+ display with 77.3% screen-to-body ratio.
Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with up to 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB expandable storage.
Camera wise, the ZenFone 3 has a lower 16 MP Sony camera with f/2.0 aperture, sapphire lens protection and OIS. It has the same features as the ZenFone 3 Deluxe (PixelMaster 3.0 and TriTech AF), but only able to capture a 64 MP photo using Super Resolution mode.
Like the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, the ZenFone 3 also has a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port that supports Quick Charge 3.0, as well as SonicMaster and High-Res Audio certification.
The device is also running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZenUI 3.0 on top.
ASUS ZenFone 3 Ultra
The ZenFone 3 Ultra is a phablet which features a 6.8-inch Full HD IPS display covered by Gorilla Glass 4. It is the world’s first smartphone with a dedicated display processor like those found in the latest 4K UHD TVs.
The ZenFone 3 Ultra also features an all-metal unibody with invisible antenna design. The device comes with SonicMaster 3.0 technology. Dual five-magnet speakers are driven by a powerful NXP Smart AMP, for expansive, high-volume output. It is able to output certified high-resolution audio to compatible devices at 24-bit/192kHz.
Powering the ZenFone 3 Ultra is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with up to 4 GB of RAM. However, the device has the same camera module as the ZenFone 3 Deluxe — 23 MP Sony camera with f/2.0 aperture, sapphire lens protection, OIS, PixelMaster 3.0 and TriTech AF.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Ultra packs a 4,600 mAh battery, which claims to have up to 34 hours of 3G talk time. It can even charge attached devices as a power bank with a high current of up to 1.5A that makes charging up to three times faster. The phablet is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZenUI 3.0 on top as well.
