ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced the new ROG Phone 9 series in Malaysia today. The new ROG Phone 9 series has three options: the ROG Phone 9, ROG Phone 9 Pro, and the range-topping ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition. All boast sleek premium aesthetics featuring the innovative AniMe Vision mini-LED auxiliary display, which gives the phones stand-out looks and personalization capabilities.
The ROG Phone 9 series sports a 6.78-inch Full HD+ flexible AMOLED display with up to 185Hz refresh rate. Powering the phones is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with memory and storage configurations varying through different models: ROG Phone 9 has 12GB LPDDR5X-9600 + 256GB UFS 4.0, ROG Phone 9 Pro has 16GB LPDDR5X-9600 + 512GB UFS 4.0, and ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition has 24GB LPDDR5X-9600 + 1TB UFS 4.0.
The phones come with AI-driven gaming features, such as X Sense 3.0, X Capture 2.0, AI Grabber 2.0, and AI Noise Cancellation. ROG GameCool 9 delivers with its 360° SoC Cooling System Gen 3 design, using a variety of high performance thermal materials. This system is engineered with a unique SoC-centered structure and complemented by the latest AeroActive Cooler X Pro clip-on cooler, ensuring that heat dissipation never impedes the path to victory.
The ROG Phone 9 series has a triple-camera setup on the back: a 50MP LYTIA-700 sensor with 6-axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer 4.0, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro camera for the ROG Phone 9, while the ROG Phone 9 Pro and Pro Edition have a 32MP 3x telephoto camera with OIS.
The ROG Phone 9 series has a 5,800mAh battery with wired 65W HyperCharge and wireless 15W Qi charging. The ROG Phone 9 will be available in Storm White and Phantom Black with 85 mini LED, while the Pro and Pro Edition will be available in Phantom Black with 648 mini LED.
