ASUS Unveils 2021 ExpertBook Series in Malaysia

ASUS Malaysia has officially unveiled the 2021 ExpertBook series, featuring the B9, B5, and B1. The ExpertBook series is ASUS take on the Lenovo ThinkPad business laptops in case you didn’t know. For the first time, the 2021 ExpertBook series is now available in three different tiers — premium, advanced, and essential.

Premium: ExpertBook B9 (B9400C)

First up is the ExpertBook B9 (B9400C), which is the world’s lightest 14″ business laptop — the 880g model has a 33Wh cell, while the 1,005g ExpertBook B9 packs a 66Wh battery. The laptop sports a 14-inch LED-backlit Full HD display with a 94% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics, 16GB LPDDR4x 4,266MHz RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The laptop supports RAID 0 and RAID 1 technology support and Thunderbolt 4 for flexible connections at warp speed.

The laptop also comes with a 720p HD camera with an infrared camera for Windows Hello biometric face login. It runs on Windows 10 Pro, and ASUS has added a few touches such as an optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chip to stores passwords and encryption keys for added security. There are also software-based tools offering numerous and diverse protections, including ASUS Business Manager and the optional ASUS Control Center. Other features include AI noise cancellation and ASUS NumberPad 2.0.

The ASUS ExpertBook B9 (B9400C) is now available in Malaysia, retailing at RM7,989. Malaysia will only be getting the 66Wh battery variant, which weighs 1,005g and has longer battery life.

Advanced: ExpertBook B5 (B5302C) & B5 Flip (B5302F)

Next up are the ExpertBook B5 (B5302C) and B5 Flip (B5302F), ultralight, kilogram-class laptop series available in both traditional clamshell and 360° convertible forms, for the ultimate in portability, flexibility, and clarity.

Both laptops sport a 13.3-inch Full HD anti-glare display. Both are powered by up to the Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics, 8GB LPDDR4 3,200MHz RAM, and up to 512GB SSD. It also has an HDD slot that supports up to 2TB storage. Like the ExpertBook B9, the ExpertBook B5 and B5 Flip also support features like AI noise cancellation, dual-SSD RAID support, Thunderbolt 4, and ASUS NumberPad 2.0. Both models are also packed with features to protect personal privacy and business data, including a built-in fingerprint sensor and TPM 2.0 chip.

The ExpertBook B5 and B5 Flip have a 720p webcam with a shield. The laptop lid has a status indicator to show whether the webcam is in use or not. Both models are now available in Malaysia, pricing as below:

Essential: ExpertBook B1 (B1400C/B1500C)

Lastly, the ASUS ExpertBook B1 is available in two sizes — 14-inch (B1400C) and 15.6-inch (B1500C). Both sizes have a Full HD resolution. Powering the ExpertBook B1 is up to the Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics, 8GB DDR4 RAM, and up to 512GB SSD. The laptop also has an HDD slot that supports up to 2TB storage.

Like the ExpertBook B5, the ExpertBook B1 supports features like AI noise cancellation, dual-SSD RAID support, Thunderbolt 4, and ASUS NumberPad 2.0. The laptop has a complete range of I/O ports, there’s even a VGA port!
