Apple has refreshed its smartwatch lineup with the Watch Series 11, Watch SE 3, and Watch Ultra 3, each bringing new features, stronger durability, and, for the first time across the range, 5G cellular connectivity.
Watch Series 11
The Apple Watch Series 11 is now the thinnest smartwatch Apple has ever made. Despite the slimmer design, it’s more durable, thanks to Ion-X glass with a ceramic coating that’s twice as tough as the Series 10. It retains the familiar 42mm and 46mm sizes in both Aluminum (Jet Black, Silver, Rose Gold, Space Gray) and Titanium (Natural Titanium, Gold, Slate) finishes.
Series 11 debuts a new Hypertension awareness feature (not available at the moment), which issues warnings if irregularities in blood pressure are detected. Another major addition is the Sleep Score, giving users a performance-based rating out of 100 each night by factoring in sleep duration, bedtime consistency, wake frequency, and time spent in each sleep stage. With 24/7 heart-rate and blood oxygen monitoring, the watch now makes more sense as an all-day health companion. To enable round-the-clock tracking, Series 11 offers up to 24 hours of battery life, making it suitable for sleep tracking.
Watch SE 3
The Apple Watch SE 3 gets a big leap forward, too. It now features an always-on display, last year’s Apple S10 chip, and optional 5G cellular connectivity. Available in 40mm and 44mm sizes with Starlight and Midnight colors, the SE 3 now supports double-tap and wrist flick gestures. It also supports fast charging, giving up to 8 hours of use from just a 15-minute charge, while bringing the same Sleep Score, 24/7 heart rate, and SpO2 readings as the Series 11.
Watch Ultra 3
For power users, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 raises the bar even higher. It features a brighter LTPO 3.0 OLED display with slimmer bezels and brings updated satellite connectivity, enabling Emergency SOS, messaging, and location sharing via Find My without relying on cellular networks. It also gets Hypertension awareness (not available at the moment) and Sleep Score, while boasting the longest-lasting battery on an Apple Watch yet—up to 42 hours. The Ultra 3 is available in Black Titanium and Natural Titanium finishes.
