Apple has unveiled the brand new iPad Air, which is the company’s latest mid-end tablet that slots between the regular iPad and the premium iPad Pro models.

Just like the iPad Pro, the new iPad Air is powered by the M1 chip with optional 5G support. This means that the tablet will now have the same performance as the Pro models, but we believe that the Air has less RAM.

The tablet has a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with 500 nits of brightness with technologies like full lamination, a P3 wide color gamut, True Tone, and an anti-reflective screen coating. Combined with the Liquid Retina display, the iPad Air has landscape stereo speakers that deliver wide stereo sound for a great movie-viewing experience. Touch ID is built into the top button of the tablet, which is the same as its predecessor.

The new iPad Air still has a USB-C port, but now up to two times faster with data transfers up to 10Gbps. It also has the new ultrawide front camera with Center Stage that automatically pans to keep users in view as they move around. There’s also a 12MP camera on the back, which seems to be the same as its predecessor.
