Besides the iPhone 17, Apple has officially introduced the iPhone Air, a brand-new entry in its lineup that brings the biggest design change to the iPhone in years. At just 5.6mm thin, the iPhone Air is Apple’s slimmest and lightest iPhone ever, featuring a Grade 5 titanium frame for durability without added bulk. Despite its ultra-slim profile, Apple claims the iPhone Air will deliver all-day battery life. It features an eSIM-only design that saves space internally, helping enable the unbelievably light and thin form factor.

The phone sports a 6.5-inch LTPO Super Retina OLED display with ProMotion 120Hz refresh rate, Ceramic Shield 2 protection, and an impressive 3,000 nits peak brightness, ensuring both strength and visibility in bright outdoor conditions.

Powering the device is the Apple A19 Pro chip, delivering a 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU that Apple says offers MacBook Pro-level performance in a pocket-sized device. It’s paired with the new Apple N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, alongside the Apple C1X modem, which is twice as fast as the previous generation while using 30% less energy compared to the iPhone 16 Pro’s Snapdragon X71 modem.

On the back, the 48MP Fusion camera system supports popular 28mm and 35mm focal lengths and offers 2x lossless optical zoom. Meanwhile, the Center Stage-enabled front camera provides a wide field of view and captures up to 18MP selfies and video calls.

The iPhone Air will be available in space black, cloud white, light gold, and sky blue, starting with 256GB of storage, with 512GB and 1TB options also offered. Pricing as below:
- 256GB: RM4,999
- 512GB: RM5,999
- 1TB: RM6,999
You can pre-order the iPhone Air starting this coming Friday, 12 September at 8 PM through Apple Malaysia’s official website. It will be released in Malaysia on Friday, 19 September – just like in the United States.
