Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus go official

Just as expected Apple has announced the next generation iPhones – the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. As usual “s” means there’s no changes in its design, what has changed is its internals.

The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have the same display over their predecessor. However, Apple has added 3D Touch feature, which provides shortcuts to the things you do most.

Apple has upgraded both 6s and 6s Plus cameras to 12 MP resolution. The new camera now able to record 4K video as well. The iPhone 6s Plus comes with OIS too, which is what the regular 6s lacks of. Both devices now come with a 5 MP FaceTime HD camera and Retina Flash for better selfie experience.

Powering both devices is the Apple A9 chipset with M9 co-processor.  It’s the company’s third generation 64-bit chipset and offers up to 90% faster console-class GPU as well as up to 70% faster CPU performance, according to the company.

Apple has also upgraded the Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, which is two times faster than the first generation Touch ID.

The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be available in gold, silver, space gray and the new rose gold metallic finishes. Both phones will first launch in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the UK and the US beginning Friday.
