Apple’s latest product rollout has officially kicked off with the debut of the iPhone 17e, the newest addition to its more affordable iPhone lineup. As expected, the device closely mirrors last year’s 16e in design, but introduces a handful of meaningful upgrades — all while keeping the same price positioning.

Under the hood, the iPhone 17e is powered by Apple’s new A19 chip, paired with a 4-core GPU. While it may not match the full-fat Pro variants, it still promises improved efficiency and everyday performance gains. The device also features Apple’s latest C1X modem, which the company claims delivers better connectivity and network reliability.

Up front, the phone retains its 6.1-inch OLED display with a 2,532 x 1,170 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The familiar notch remains, housing the Face ID system and front camera. The key change this year is the upgraded Ceramic Shield 2 glass, offering improved durability over the previous generation.

On the imaging side, the iPhone 17e continues with a single 48MP rear camera equipped with OIS. It supports 4K 60fps Dolby Vision video recording, and Apple says portrait photography has been enhanced thanks to a new image processing pipeline. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 12MP front-facing camera.

One notable addition this year is MagSafe support, opening the door to a wider ecosystem of compatible accessories. The device supports 15W wireless charging and faster wired charging as well.

Rounding out the specs are Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, IP68 water and dust resistance, GPS, NFC, satellite connectivity, and eSIM support. It ships with iOS 26 out of the box and includes Apple Intelligence features.
