Apple today introduced its latest iPads, with the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air (2025) models featuring the new Apple M3 chip. This chipset is the most significant upgrade in the new iPad Air lineup.
The 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air (2025) models are equipped with the M3 chip, which includes an 8-core CPU, 9-core GPU, and 16-core NPU, replacing the M2 chip found in last year’s models. The SoC is complemented by 8GB of RAM. According to Apple, the M3-powered iPad Airs deliver twice the performance of the M1 iPad Air released in 2022. However, Apple did not provide specific performance comparisons between the M3 and last year’s M2 models.
Other specifications remain consistent with the previous generation, including screen sizes, display resolution, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The devices feature dual 12MP cameras, Apple Intelligence, and a USB-C 3.1 port. There are no upgrades to Wi-Fi 6E or Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and Touch ID is still integrated into the power button.
Another notable update is the redesigned Magic Keyboard, which now includes a larger trackpad and an additional row of function keys.
The 2025 iPad Airs are available in the same color options as their predecessors: Blue, Purple, Starlight, and Space Gray. The Wi-Fi-only 11-inch model with 128GB storage starts at RM2,799, while the cellular version is priced at RM3,499. The 13-inch model with 128GB storage starts at RM3,699 for the Wi-Fi version and RM4,399 for the cellular variant.
The new Magic Keyboard is priced at RM1,299 for the 11-inch iPad Air and RM1,399 for the 13-inch model.
Customers can order the new iPad Air with M3 soon on apple.com/my/store, in the Apple Store app, and in Apple Store locations and Apple Authorised Resellers.
