Apple announces 9.7-inch iPad Pro

Just 6 months after the debut of the iPad Pro, Apple has just unveiled the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. The new iPad Pro is same size as the iPad Air 2, but has the same A9X chip as the 12.9-inch variant.

The new iPad Pro has a 9.7-inch display (2,048 x 1,536 pixels), which is said to be 25% brighter and 40% less reflective than the iPad Air 2’s screen. It also features a True Tone display, which measures the color temperature of ambient light and adjusts the display to match. The new iOS 9.3 feature – Night Shift, automatically adjust the colors in the display to the warmer end of the spectrum after dark and may even help you get a better night’s sleep.

Apple has upgraded the camera of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro over the 12.9-inch variant. It has a 12 MP iSight camera with f/2.2 aperture. There’s a True Tone flash as well! The upgraded camera also means that the new iPad Pro is capable for 4K video recording. Not only that, the front-facing camera has also upgraded to 5 MP unit too.

Like the 12.9-inch variant, the new iPad Pro also comes with four speakers. It also works with the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard.

The 9.7-inch iPad Pro will be available in four colors – Silver, Space Gray, Gold and Rose Gold.
