Unboxing & First Impressions: Wiko Ufeel Go and Ufeel Prime

Wiko Mobile, a French company that has been around in Malaysia for quite some time. Today, we are going to unbox two devices — Ufeel Go and Ufeel Prime. Both devices are priced reasonably below RM1k. Without further ado, let’s begin!

Wiko Ufeel Go

The Ufeel Go comes with a dark cyan color scheme box with a concrete pattern. Well, it looks pretty different from what I used to see when I’m unboxing a phone.

Flipping the box to the back, you’ll see the color options for the phone as well as the specs. My review unit is the Space Grey variant for your information.

Open up the box, you’ll see the phone wrapped in a plastic wrapper. Look at it! There’s a face printed on the plastic wrapper, Wiko is trying to make the unboxing experience more fun.

It’s been quite a while to see so many stuff in a phone box. Kudos to Wiko Mobile Malaysia! The box contains the device itself, user guide, warranty card, SIM adapters, charger, USB cable, earphones, screen protector, and a TPU case! It’s not often to see the SIM adapters, screen protector and TPU case nowadays when you buy a phone.

The case feels so good to hold and I really like it a lot. It has a pretty smooth surface and it’s not very thick, but I’m sure it will protect the phone well.

The phone has a 2.5D curved glass on its front, covering the 5-inch HD full laminated display. There’s a selfie flash above the screen and a fingerprint sensor below the screen.

Surprisingly, the back of the phone is made of metal, which doesn’t feel cheap at all.

The fingerprint sensor below the display can be registered up to 5 fingers. Each finger can be customized with different actions.

The first thing after I unboxed the device was looking where the SIM tray is located. Well, it turns out that the phone actually has a removable metal back cover. To be honest, it’s really hard to remove the back cover. I spent around 10 minutes just to remove its back cover.

And finally, the back cover is removed! The phone features two SIM slots and a MicroSD card slot, which means you can use two SIM cards and enjoy storage expansion altogether at once.

Wiko Ufeel Prime

The Wiko Ufeel Prime packs a better specs than the Ufeel Go. Its box is pretty similar to the Ufeel Go, the only difference is that the Wiko logo is now in gold.

Flipping the box to the back, you’ll see the color options for the phone as well as the specs. The Ufeel Prime has more color options — Anthracite, Gold and Silver. My review unit is the Gold variant.

Open up the box, you’ll see the phone itself wrapped in the plastic wrapper with a face printed on it. This time, the internal box of the device is in white instead of black.

Like the Ufeel Go, you get a bunch of stuff in the box — the device itself, user guide, warranty card, SIM adapters, charger, USB cable, earphones, screen protector, and a TPU case! This time we even have extra ear tips and a SIM ejector tool as the Ufeel Prime back cover isn’t removable.

The TPU case for the Ufeel Prime is fully transparent, you don’t want to cover up the sexy back of the phone, right?

It has a slightly bigger 5-inch display with Full HD resolution on its front covered by a 2.5D curved glass. There’s also a selfie flash above the screen and fingerprint sensor below the screen.

As I mentioned earlier, the back cover of the phone isn’t removable. Like the Ufeel Go, its back is made of metal as well.

The fingerprint sensor below the display can also be registered up to 5 fingers. Each finger can be customized with different actions as well.

The Wiko Ufeel Go and Ufeel Prime are priced at RM599 and RM899 respectively. For phones at these price points, my initial impressions were pretty good. Both phones have a solid build and both come with quite a few accessories in the box. You don’t really need to spend extra money to buy a case and screen protector anymore. However, we can’t conclude everything at the moment. Stay tuned to find out everything in our full reviews.
