Sony RX0 Officially Launched in Malaysia

The Sony RX0 is an ultra-compact camera that comes with the advanced photo and video capabilities. Well, the wait is over! Sony Malaysia recently just launched the RX0 alongside with the RX10 Mark IV and Handycam AX700.

Weighing at just 110g, the RX0 is a premium ultra-compact camera. It can be used as a standalone camera for capturing photos or videos in any shooting conditions including the rain, underwater, or in sandy or dusty environments and is equally adept as a part of a multi-camera setup to shoot subjects from a variety of different viewpoints.

Not only ultra-compact, the RX0 also has a tough body. It is waterproof, shockproof, and crushproof, meaning that you can use it to record videos or take photos in any conditions.

It also comes with a 1.0-type stacked 15.3MP Exmor RS CMOS image sensor, featuring ZEISS Tessar T* 24mm F4 Fixed wide-angle lens with a maximum shutter speed of up to 1/32000 second and ability to shoot at up to 16fps. In terms of video, it comes with a range of functionalities including 40x Super Slow motion recording, Picture Profile (S-Log2), and 4K Clean HDMI Output. Additionally, it also supports multi-camera control for multi-view shooting either wirelessly or with the wired connection.

Furthermore, the RX0 also comes with a bunch of accessories. These include the VCT-CGR1 Cage for increased system flexibility, the MPK-HSR1 Housing, enabling the RX0 to be taken down to depths of up to 100 metres underwater, the CPT-R1 Cable Protector, VF-SPR1 Spare Lens Protector, VFA-305R1 Filter Adaptor Kit which includes filter adaptor, lens hood and MC protector, NP-BJ1 Rechargeable Battery Pack and ACC-TRDCJ Accessory Kit.

Sony RX10 Mark IV

As for the RX10 Mark IV, it is the latest flagship model of the RX10 series. It has the world’s fastest autofocus speed of 0.03 seconds, 24fps Continuous Shooting with full AF/AE tracking. The camera also comes with 315 focal-plane phase-detection AF points covering approximately 65% of the frame.

In terms of lens, it comes with a ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-600mm F2.4-F4 Large Aperture, High Magnification Zoom Lens. The RX10 Mark IV comes equipped with a latest 1.0-type 20.1MP Exmor RS CMOS stacked image sensor with DRAM chip along with a powerful BIONZ X image processor and front-end LSI. It is also capable of 4K movie recording with full pixel readout without pixel binning.

Sony Handycam AX700

As for the AX700, it’s a palm camcorder that comes with fast autofocus speed to assist its 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS image sensor. It also supports an instant HDR workflow, enabling users to produce breathtaking HDR content with minimum post-production to suit a range of content creation scenarios and applications.

The camcorder supports 4K HDR recording with HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) offering an Instant HDR workflow. It is also capable of recording Super Slow Motion recording up to 960fps, which is industry-leading among palm categories and Slow & Quick Motion Full HD recording up to 120fps.
