Both devices have pretty similar specs but targeted for different people. The Galaxy S6 edge+ provides better multimedia experience with its curved screen. It now features Apps edge for easy access to favorite apps, and enhanced ‘People edge’ for easy communications with preferred contacts.

The Galaxy Note5 on the other hand, is a perfect device for multi-taskers. It comes with a much refined 5th generation S Pen capabilities to better serve the major multitasker. With the clicking mechanism, all you need to do is just click the S Pen to pop it out. Samsung has enhanced the Air Command feature. Users can also annotate on PDF files and capture lengthy web articles or long images at once via Scroll capture feature.

Unlike the S6 edge+, the Note5 front glass panel is flat, while the rear glass panel curved, just like the Xiaomi Mi Note. The S6 edge+ is slightly thinner at 6.9 mm and lighter at 153 g than the Note5 (7.6 mm thin and weighs 171 g).

Below are the specs of both S6 edge+ and Note5:

  • Android 5.1 Lollipop
  • 5.7″ Quad HD Super AMOLED display (518 ppi)
  • 14 nm Exynos 7420 octa-core processor
  • 4 GB RAM
  • 32/64 GB non-expandable storage
  • 16 MP F1.9 rear camera with VDIS + OIS, capable 4K video recording
  • 5 MP F1.9 front camera
  • 3,000 mAh battery, Fast Charging both on wired and wireless
