Samsung Galaxy Note8 Goes Official with 6.3″ Infinity Display

As expected, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 made its official debut today! The device sports a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ (2,960×1,440) Super AMOLED Infinity Display, which means it has a near bezel-less and edge-to-edge screen.

Powering the device is an Exynos 8895 octa-core 10nm processor (EMEA region) with 6GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.

For the first time, the Galaxy Note8 now comes with a dual-camera setup — 12MP DualPixel f/1.7 lens + 12MP f/2.4 telephoto lens (2x zoom). Surprisingly, it is the first device to have OIS on both cameras. Additionally, the dual-camera now offers Live Photo, which allows you to adjust the background blur. Selfie wise, there’s an 8MP f/1.7 AF front-facing camera.

The Galaxy Note8 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, which comes with a few handy features. You can now run two apps simultaneously, even two same apps! Furthermore, the device also comes with a few improved S Pen features such as improved pressure sensitive and Live Message that lets you create GIFs.

Like the S8, the device is still IP68 water and dust resistance. Sadly, the fingerprint sensor is still on the back right next to the LED flash. The device still has an iris scanner, though.

Juicing up the device is a 3,300mAh battery, which also supports fast charging on wired and wireless. The device comes in four colors: Midnight Black, Deepsea Blue, Orchid Gray, and Maple Gold. As usual, all Galaxy Note8 units will come with a pair of bundled AKG earphones.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 is expected to launch in Malaysia next month. Unfortunately, the exact launch date and price are still unknown.
