OPPO tops China market in Q3, holds No. 4 global ranking

Just recently, the OPPO F1s hit 100k sales in Malaysia, which the company achieved within two months. The company announced that for the first time it has taken the top spot for a full quarter in China’s smartphone market, helping it hold firm to its position as the No. 4 smartphone maker globally.

IDC data shows that the company shipped 25.3 million devices globally in Q3, representing a year-on-year growth of 121.6%, the highest among the top-five smartphone brands.

“We are delighted at OPPO’s continued growth, and at the enthusiasm we’re receiving from consumers in China and our markets around the world,” said Sky Li, OPPO Vice President and Managing Director of International Mobile Business. “Our recent performance confirms the power of our core commitment — to build premium-quality devices that are tailor-made for the real needs of our users.”

No doubt that the F1 Plus (also known as R9 in China) is the reason for such success. The device has been the top-selling device in China for the duration of Q3, helping OPPO to win 17.5% market share in the country during that time, according to IDC data.

Additionally, the F1s has also performed extremely well globally in Q3. Head over to our review to know more about the device.
