Neffos Malaysia, a company under TP-Link, today officially launched the X series — X1 and X1 Max. Both devices were announced at IFA 2016 last year in Berlin, Germany.
Both devices offer metallic back cover in order to provide more premium feel. Powering both X1 and X1 Max are a MediaTek Helio P10 processor with a few storage options.
In terms of camera, both devices pack a 13MP Sony IMX258 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF tech on its rear camera. Selfie wise, there’s a 5MP front-facing shooter.
The differences between the X1 and X1 Max are the screen size and battery capacity. The X1 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display, whilst the X1 Max has a 5.5-inch Full HD display. The X1 Max has a larger 3,000mAh battery with fast charging supported compared to the X1’s 2,250mAh battery (no fast charging).
The Neffos X1 is now available in two variants — 2GB RAM + 16GB storage and 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, priced at RM769 and RM849 respectively complete with a special promotion at Lazada Malaysia. As for the X1 Max, it will only be available in March 2017 even though the company had already revealed the pricing for it — RM999 (3GB RAM + 32GB storage) and RM1,199 (4GB RAM + 64GB storage).
