This 28 nm processor is backed up by 3 GB of RAM, and as usual the device comes with three storage options – 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. Again, the MX5 doesn’t come with MicroSD card slot, no expandable storage for user.

Camera wise, the MX5 packs a 20.7 MP rear camera with Sony IMX220 sensor and f/2.2 aperture lens. Below the camera there’s a dual-tone LED flash and a laser distance measuring sensor. The laser distance measuring sensor works like laser autofocus on the LG G3/G4. It provides high speed focusing and you can focus an object in just 0.2 seconds within a range of 50 cm, no matter in bright or dark situation.

The 5 MP f/2.0 front camera comes with FotoNation 2.0 intelligent beautification technology for taking nice selfie. The MX5 is capable to record both 4K and 720p@100fps slow-motion videos, which is pretty hard to find in any Android device.

MEIZU MX5 - 4

The MEIZU MX5 is a dual-SIM device. Both SIM 1 and SIM 2 support 4G networks. You can choose the data service mode in the settings; one SIM will be 4G while the other SIM can only use GSM networks. Dual 4G can be achieved after users install firmware of universal versions.

MEIZU has also introduced mTouch 2.0 on the MX5, a fingerprint identification system. The new fingerprint sensor is now faster and the appearance smoother and elegant. There’s even a colored PVD on the 0.45 mm metal ring, blending the comfortable bevel into the color of the entire body.

Last but not least, fast charging technology is also a must have feature for a flagship device now a day. The MX5 features mCharge, a fast charging technology. With mCharge, the MX5 battery gets charged up to 25% within 10 minutes, and up to 60% within 40 minutes.

The MEIZU MX5 packs a 3,150 mAh battery and is running on the latest Flyme OS 4.5. It will be available in deep grey, silver, and champagne gold colors.
