MEIZU m2 note gets announced

MEIZU has just officially announced the m2 note, which is the company latest affordable smartphone. The m2 note looks similar to its predecessor but you’ll get more over its predecessor.

It sports a 5.5″ display with IGZO technology made by SHARP. MEIZU states that the m2 note display has 1000:1 contrast ratio and 450 nits of brightness.

Powering the device is a MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor with 2 GB of RAM. With the upgraded processor, the m2 note supports wider range of bands for a global 4G coverage.

Thankfully, the m2 note comes with expandable storage, there are 16 GB and 32 GB choices though. It means that you’re no longer limited to internal storage.

The camera unit at the back is a 13 MP Samsung-made CMOS sensor, with 5 elements f/2.2 aperture lens. The front camera however is a 5 MP OV5670 unit with a larger f/2.0 aperture lens.

Below the screen you’ll see the mBack button, which is likely not a fingerprint scanner. MEIZU hasn’t shared much about the functionality of this button at the moment.

The m2 note packs a 3,100 mAh battery and is running on Flyme OS 4.5 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It comes in four colors – gray, blue, pink and white.
