MWC 2016: Lenovo reveals its new entry-level contender in the VIBE K5 Plus

Lenovo has shown off its brand new entry-level VIBE K5 Plus, a smartphone that has been designed to entertain and impress, for a whole lot less. Pardon the unintentional rhyme.

Lenovo VIBE K5 Plus

Entertainment enthusiasts will certainly appreciate the Lenovo VIBE K5 Plus for its brilliant performance and robust features. Offering a 5” wide-view FHD display and being powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor, plus a 2,750 mAh user replaceable battery and 16 GB onboard memory (which is further expandable up to 32 GB), it delivers an immersive, fast and uninterrupted multimedia experience whenever you want, wherever you want.

Earphones are unnecessary with its pretty good full speaker sound. Lenovo VIBE K5 Plus with the clarity of Dolby Atmos and dual rear speakers delivers remarkable sound quality, allowing users to enjoy movies, games and music with full, crystal-clear stereo sound.

Capturing key moments with the crew is important to VIBE users, so Lenovo has equipped the VIBE K5 Plus with a 13 MP auto-focus rear camera with LED flash, and a 5 MP fixed-focus front camera for picture perfect shots. Plus, it also comes pre-loaded a variety of productivity and social apps such as SHAREit, SNAPit, Guvera Music and so on for a seamless social sharing and streaming experience.

Brandishing a sleek-finish aluminum look at just 8.2 mm thin and weighing a mere 142 g – and available in Platinum Silver or Champagne Gold – with Lenovo VIBE K5 Plus you are ready for your closeup and look stylish while taking your selfies.

The Lenovo VIBE K5 Plus (also sold as Lenovo K5 Plus) will be available in select countries where Lenovo smartphones are sold starting in March for $149 (USD).

Also available is Lenovo VIBE K5 (also sold as Lenovo K5) with a 5” HD screen and Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 octa-core processor. Pricing for this model starts at $129 (USD). It is currently unknown when or even if the K5 and K5 Plus would be coming to Malaysian shores, but we will keep you updated.
