Honor Malaysia launches the Honor 5X and the Honor 7 Enhanced

Honor Malaysia are causing a bit of a stir in the smartphone market by introducing the Honor 5X, Honor 7 Enhanced as well as showcasing the already launched Honor Band Z1 in Malaysia today.

Honor 5X, Honor 7 Enhanced and Honor Band Z1 Launch

The Honor 5X comes with a metal-clad body design using “aviation-grade aluminum” and CNC chamfered edges. It features a 5.5-inch 1080p Sunlight display that is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor. It is mated with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.

As for its cameras, they consist of a 13 MP rear and 5 MP front so you Instagram lovers will not be disappointed, it also packs a 3,000 mAh battery that is bundled with the Smart Battery feature for efficient use.

On the software side, it is running on EMUI 3.1 with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS right out of the box. It also comes with fingerprint sensor 2.0 technology for enhanced security purposes. The device also equipped with dual-SIM card slots that support 4G LTE connectivity. There’s also an individual MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.

Honor 7 Enhanced

Now for the Honor 7 Enhanced Edition, nothing much has changed over the vanilla model. It still has a 5.2-inch 1080p IPS display, a Kirin 935 processor which comes with 3 GB of RAM, a MicroSD card slot, an impressive 20 MP rear and an average 8 MP selfie snapper, as well as a 3,100 mAh battery which should last you a while. That being said, there are several things that differentiate the Enhanced Edition from the standard Honor 7. One such difference is that it has 32 GB of onboard storage, it comes with a fast charging charger, and it runs on EMUI 4.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Honor Band Z1

The already launched Honor Band Z1 is put simply a circular shaped smart band that offers a modern scandinavian design. The Z1 adopts a 1.06-inch 128 x 128 PMOLED display that is running on a Cortex M4 STM32F411 processor.

Under the hood, the Z1’s 70 mAh battery supports fast charging with a charging time of 10 minutes able to last a full day. A single charge can last up to 4 working days with normal usage and 14 days passive standby time.

It features movement tracking, personalize time display, dust and water resistance with an IP68 rating. It also can read messages and emails with support for multiple language and also support caller ID. The smartwatch can support Android 4.4 and above and also support iOS 7.0 and above.

The Honor Band Z1 is available now at the retail price of RM 259 at Vmall Malaysia, while the Honor 5X and Honor 7 Enhanced will have their official retail price revealed by Honor soon.
