The third generation ASUS ZenWatch is finally official at IFA 2016 in Berlin, Germany. For the first time in the ZenWatch series, the ZenWatch 3 now sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED circular display with the resolution of 400 x 400 pixels.
Powering the ZenWatch 3 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor with 512MB RAM. There’s 4GB internal storage inside its 9.95mm case fashioned from jewelry-grade 316L stainless steel.
ASUS states that the ZenWatch 3 comes with more than 50 software watch faces that can be changed using the ZenWatch Manager smartphone app, which means you can customize your watch. Additionally, users can also create their own unique watch faces with the FaceDesigner smartphone app.
The ASUS ZenWatch 3 has a 340mAh battery, which claims to have up to 2 days battery life. The watch also features HyperCharge technology that provides just 15 minutes to reach a 60% charge, and a convenient magnetic charging connector that snaps into place automatically. An optional battery pack is also available that provides 40 percent more battery life.
Colors wise, the ZenWatch 3 has Gunmetal, Silver and Rose Gold options. Unfortunately, we don’t have the launch date and price at the moment.
